Our school is situated on Crab Lane, across the road from Páirc Uí Rinn. We are a co-educational school with eight mainstream teachers,a Special Education Teacher and a Resource Teacher.Our uniform is bottle-green in colour. Scoil Iósaf Naofa has been open since 1904.

Mission/Vision Statement

Ballintemple N.S. is a co-educational, Catholic, primary school which strives to provide a well-ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and addressed. While Ballintemple N.S. is a school with a Catholic ethos, it also gives due recognition to all other religions.
The care of each child is of paramount importance to the staff . As partners, we aim to help the children to develop their holistic potential by providing opportunities for creative and academic development.
The management, staff and pupils endeavour to make this school a welcoming place which celebrates difference , tolerance and respect for others.
To realise our Mission Statement , we envisage that Ballintemple N.S. will continue to benefit from committed in-school management. The staff will work as a cohesive unit in a spirit of collaboration , assuming collective responsibility for the development of the school.
Ballintemple N.S. will strive to promote, both individually and collectively, the professional and personal development of teachers through staff development programmes.
Every effort will be made to encourage the involvement of parents through home/school contacts and through their involvement in the Parents Association
Ballintemple N.S.will endeavour to enhance the self-esteem of everyone in the school community, to imbue in the pupils respect for people and property and to encourage in them the idea of being responsible.
Ballintemple N.S. will promote gender equity amongst the teachers and pupils.
